The scholars concerned have divided the first half of the 20th century into three periods in terms of the study of the chinese minority arts : 1 . the initial stage from 1900 to 1919 when its academic study emerged ; 2 . the foundation - laying period from 1920 to 1937 when the basic theory was established ; 3 . the development period from 1938 to 1949 when the study became more standardized 摘要在20世纪上半叶，学界对中国少数民族艺术的研究可以划分为3个时期： 1900至1919年为萌芽时期，中国少数民族艺术研究的视野开始展开； 1920至1937年为奠基时期，中国少数民族艺术研究的理论方法基本确立； 1938至1949年为发展时期，中国少数民族艺术研究的规范化得到进一步推进。
